Strawberry Tarts

If you haven’t figured it out by now , I have an obsession with phyllo dough. It is a quick and easy way to get the flavor of real pie crust without all the calories and fat. Plus who wouldn’t love the fact that you only need to thaw them and get baking? A real bonus is you can get a lot of easy desserts out of one box. You can always use just what you need and refreeze the rest. Give these easy Strawberry Tarts a try and you just might find you are in love with phyllo too.

Strawberry Tarts

4 sheets phyllo dough

1 cup sliced strawberries

2 tablespoons strawberry glaze or 3 tablespoons of sugar free strawberry jam***I do not like the sugar free glaze so I just go with a smaller portion of the real stuff and it works.

Fat Free Reddi Wip

Heat oven to 375

Stack the phyllo dough one at a time, lightly spritzing each sheet with butter flavored cooking spray. When you have all four pieces stacked, cut into 6 equal portions.

Spray 6 muffin tins with cooking spray and place a portion of phyllo in each tin. Lightly press around the sides to make a well in the center. Do not press onto the sides of the tin. They will be hard to remove.

Bake 7-8 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool.

Mix strawberries and glaze.

Fill phyllo crust with berry mixture and top with fat free Reddi Wip.

For those following Weight Watchers, this recipe serves 3@ 2 tarts per serving. Each serving is 3SP *** The smart points are the same for the glaze or the sugar free jam.
