Donut Days

Some of my first memories of endless shopping sprees with my sister include a donut run. You know those shopping sprees I’m speaking of ? It starts off at the golden drive-thru and before you finish that last bite, you already have lunch plans. Eat a little, shop a little, eat a little. You know what I’m talking about, right? Then when you head home, you just have to take your poor family back home a sympathy treat. After all, they have been stuck at home while you were on your eating frenzy. Plus if you take them donuts just maybe you won’t have to cook supper. Please tell me I’m not the only one that has done that! Since beginning my journey to live healthier, I have coined the phrase, ” We don’t live there anymore!”..,Insert my daughter rolling her eyes…You see, I carried on that great tradition with her. Really when we said we were going shopping, we were going eating. Now I skip the donuts and bring my husband a lame t-shirt or a pair of socks or something. When I just have to have a donut fix, I have this version of a healthier donut. I hope you like it. For me it works, I get to wear skinny jeans and eat a “donut”.

GuiltlessDonut

1 light hamburger  or hotdog bun

Butter flavored cooking spray

Fat Free Reddi Wip

1 teaspoon Smuckers Sugar Free Hot Fudge Sauce

Spray the hamburger bun with cooking spray and toast lightly. Make sure you only toast lightly or it goes from a soft donut to toast.

Top each 1/2 with fat free Reddi Wip.

Put the hot fudge sauce in the bottom corner of a small sandwich bag. Heat 4-5 seconds in the microwave. Cut off the bottom corner and drizzle over the Reddi Wip.

Enjoy!

Note: The donut has several steps but it really doesn’t take that much time and it is so worth it. I have tried spreading the hot fudge sauce but for some reason it just turns out better with the drizzle.
